Chauntecleere (#48019725)
There’s something wonderful about William Austin’s bold words of Chauntecleere, clapping his wings and trumpeting the dawn. This short piece has angular melodies that suggest fanfare calls and asymmetrical rhythms and percussion that propel the music forward. For two part treble voices, piano, finger cymbals and tambourine.

I Am In Need Of Music (#48019728)
This men’s chorus version of last year’s SATB release was commissioned by the Turtle Creek Chorale and premiered in Dallas last October. It is a reflective, lush and lyrical setting of Elizabeth Bishop’s gorgeous words. For TTBB chorus and piano.

Blest By Everything (#48019690)
This text by William Butler Yeats speaks of gratitude and contentedness, and also of self-acceptance, the ability to look at our past and present actions and thoughts and forgive ourselves the lot. There’s a sense of release, of letting go, in the awareness that all things bring blessing. For SATB chorus and piano.

Laughing Song (#480197320)
William Blake has captured a playful innocence in the words of the Laughing Song. There’s a lightness and carefree quality in the very landscape and an invitation for us to live and be merry and join the sweet chorus. Who can resist? For three part treble and piano.

Beautiful Star of Bethlehem (#48019783)
An arrangement of the great old Adger Pace and R. Fisher Boyce tune which gives homage to the pure harmonies of the folk and gospel traditions and the rural flavor of the violin (or should we call it a fiddle?). For 2-part treble chorus, piano and violin.

Home (#48019756)
Open skies, pastures of wheat, a hawk, some soil, the wind… peacefulness. A tuneful melody with gentle lyricism on a text by a young student poet. For 2-part treble and piano.

Earthsongs (#48019685)
Finally an SATB version of this popular set of three pieces celebrating our relationship with the earth! Texts include 19th geologist William Gates Percival, the Buddhist Sutta Nippa and the United Nations Environmental Sabbath program. For SATB chorus, oboe and piano. (A full orchestra version also available on rental.)
